Recruiting Profile
Top Prospect: Jessica Alexander
by
Colette Lewis, 29 November 2007
Five star recruit Jessica Alexander's life has included tennis since she was four years old, and when the 16-year-old Texan considers her future, she doesn't see that changing much.
"My sister and I have always talked about coaching together after we get done with our own tennis and settle down," Alexander says of her plans with
Megan, a sophomore the
University of Florida, who finished her first collegiate season ranked 25th nationally. "I think that would be really cool."
But despite the close relationship she has with her sister, Texas's top-ranked player in the class of 2009 isn't ruling out other options as she looks toward college tennis.
"I am very interested in Florida," Alexander says. "I love the program there, I've met the coaches there and I really like them. It would be a lot of fun to go to a school that my sister's at, but I'm keeping an open mind to everything, taking unofficials here and there and checking out campuses."
