HIGH SCHOOL
October 25, 2008 - For the third consecutive year, I competed in the Illinois State High School Association Tennis Championships. I qualified for State by winning the Section Championships. This year, I finished in the top 12 out of 128 singles players. I won 5 matches and lost 2. Both of the matches I lost were to top-ranked national players. One match was a three set match. The score in the other was 6-4; 7-5. I helped my team attain the best season in school history. Also, for the third year, I was awarded the Coaches Award for outstanding performance.

October 1, 2008 - Today I had one of the biggest wins of my high school tennis career. I won a three set regular seaon match against the defending Illinois state champion, Elizabeth Epstein. In the first set I was down 5-2 and came back to win the set 7-6(5). Then, I lost the second set 6-2. I lost the first two games of the third set and then won six games in a row to win the set 6-2. I am proud of the fact that I kept my composure. Also, my hard work with my trainer also contributed to the fact that I felt physically fit.

October 30, 2007- I have just completed the Illinois State High School Tennis Championships for the second year in a row. I have earned honorable mention All-State honors for my performance. This year I finished in the top 16 of the 128 singles players who participated in the tournament. I won four matches and lost two. Both of the two matches I lost were close. I also won the Sectional tournament to qualify for the State Championships. I was selected to be a member of the Illinois High School All State Tennis Team - 3rd Team Singles. Finally, I am honored to have received the U-High Coaches award for outstanding performance for the second consecutive year.

As a freshman, I qualified for the state tournament. I won three matches and lost two. I also received the U-High Coaches Award for outstanding performance throughout the season.
