Spring Signing Week '06: Girls' Update

Signing Week is finally here. Today marks the beginning of the so-called "dead period" when coaches are not allowed in-person contact with recruits. And this Wednesday, April 12, is Signing Day - the first day in 2006 that high school seniors can sign National Letters of Intent with Division I or Division II schools.

Today is also the first day of our special Signing Week coverage. Check back all week for articles and announcements - as members of the Class of 2006 make their decisions.

Top 100 Update

Last month, we talked recruiting with the Top 100 senior girls on the Class Rankings List. The vast bulk of these recruits - 86 out of 100 - had already made commitments.

We spoke again with the fourteen undecided recruits, and today we update you on their status. As you will see in the chart, many of them are still up in the air - visits to take, plans to start college in Spring of '07, etc. Only one - Laura Neal (Portland, OR) - has announced a commitment.

So here is the list. All rankings are from March 17. The Commitment column indicates college commitment or other relevant comment, while the Interests column indicates schools in the mix.
