STILLWATER, Okla. - The TCU men and the Texas A&M women took different routes, but both programs made history last Sunday at the Greenwood Tennis Center, capturing their first NCAA team titles. TCU, seeded fourth, defeated Big-12 rival Texas in a 4-3 classic, while Texas A&M, the No. 13 seed, avenged three previous losses to Georgia with a 4-1 victory in an all-SEC final.

TCU did not drop a point in the first four rounds of the tournament before a roller coaster of a 4-2 victory in the semifinals over top seed Ohio State, which had beaten the Horned Frogs in the National Indoor final in February.
Texas, the No. 2 seed, had 4-2 wins over No. 7 seed Tennessee and No. 6 seed Wake Forest, with the Longhorns having won two of three meetings over TCU during the regular season.
It was the first year in NCAA Division I tennis history that both the men's and women's champions claimed their program's initial title in the same year.
