Deciding on a college can be a difficult and stressful process, as senior 5-Star Recruit Jacqueline Urbinati quickly learned. With notable Division I schools like Boston College, Georgetown and Wisconsin on her list of potential schools, it's easy to see how the decision could have gone in lots of directions. But after taking one look at the campus at Boston College, meeting the coaches and seeing a couple familiar faces on the team, Urbinati was convinced, and she has announced her commitment to the Eagles team beginning this fall.

"Obviously, being in a city as amazing as Boston definitely was one of the main deciding factors," Urbinati said. "And I loved the team and coaches as well. Coach Kieran and Coach Nigel are extremely caring and dedicate so much to their team. I also grew up playing sectionals with two of the current Boston College players - Lexi Borr and Emily Safron - so I'm looking forward to competing with them next year."

Throughout her high school career, Urbinati, the current No. 5 player in New York in the Babolat Class Rankings, has claimed multiple sectional titles in both singles and doubles. But her self-proclaimed specialty is in doubles, where she has won a number of national titles. In fact, one of her main goals for collegiate tennis is to be part of the Eagles' No. 1 doubles team.

"Winning that doubles point for the team can be a major factor in the overall score of a match," she said. "I actually prefer doubles because I love having someone else on the court with me. I love team sports and I connect really well with my doubles partner. We feed off each other's energy really well."
