That being said, the 17-year-old Lin will sign with
Stanford University and become a proud member of the storied Cardinal program.
"With Stanford, I can have a balance of athletics and academics," Lin said. "I've always had an emphasis on my education. They (Stanford) have an excellent recruiting class. I like the direction the program is going and it's a great place to develop my game."
Lin is part of what is shaping up to be a monster recruiting class for the Cardinal. Joining Lin at Stanford will be fellow Blue Chip recruits Matt Kandath (Gansevoort, N.Y.) and Walker Kehrer (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) - as well as 3-Star recruit Samuel Ecker.
Lin, who is considering majoring in economics or engineering, also looked at Princeton and Harvard as potential schools to utilize his talents.
