Founded in 1947 by Eddie Herr, this tournament has been held in various sites around Florida ever since. Photo Gallery Action Shots from the Lexington ITF by Bill Kallenberg, 7 November 2021 The United States ITF Junior Circuit continued in late October in Lexington, SC. This ITF J4 event featured All-American singles finals for both boys and girls. Nikita Filin (Ill.) defeated Roy Horovitz (Fla.) 6-3; 7-5 for the boys' title, while Taylor Goetz (N.Y.) defeated Maddy Zampardo (Mi.) 7-6(0), 6-3 on the girls' side. View Photos

Photo Gallery Photos from Kalamazoo by Bill Kallenberg, 27 August 2021 Rain may have forced play indoors a few times during the USTA Boys' 18-16 Nationals in Kalamazoo, Mich., but the weather did not deter Zachary Svajda or Alexander Razeghi. Svajda became the first to win two 18s titles in non-consecutive years in the Open Era, while Razeghi brought home the gold ball in the 16s as the No. 1 seed. Action Shots from the Clays
The USTA Boys' 18-16 Clay Court Nationals, hosted in Delray Beach,
Fla., was plagued with rain and lightning. Those conditions did not
deter Ryan Colby and Felipe Pinzon who won singles titles in the 18s and
16s divisions, respectively. Photographer Bill Kallenberg was on hand to
capture images from the event.

Memorial Day had a more traditional feel this year for junior tennis
players with tournaments contested throughout the country. Several USTA
National Level 2 events were held across the country, and TRN had
photographers on hand both in Prairie Village, Kansas, and Rome, Ga.

Images from the Sections Invitational
The first weekend in May saw competition across the nation in the USTA
L1 Sections Individual Championships. The Boys 18s event took place in
Indianapolis, Indiana, and was run by Dalton Thieneman and Alex
Gruskin of Cracked Racquets. The field included 128 players from all
across the nation - who were glad to be competing in major USTA

Action Shots from the IOSC
Like the Easter Bowl, the International Open of Southern California, a
J1 level event, was moved to the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego.
Colette Lewis of ZooTennis.com was in attendance the entire week and

Easter Bowl Photo Gallery
The Gold Ball drought has finally come to an end as the JB1 Easter Bowl
ITF and the USTA Easter Bowl 16-12s were contested in San Diego rather
than their traditional home in Indian Wells. These two great events
were the first to award gold balls since the Winter Nationals in 2019.
Photographer Derrick Tuskan was on hand for action the entire week.

Images from the Rome Tennis Center
Competitors from 28 states converged on the beautiful 50-court Rome
Tennis Center for the USTA L3 Open Championships in mid-March in
Georgia. Two TRN contributors - Bill Kallenberg and Brian Wood - were

Action Shots from the L1 Spring Championships
Early in 2021, the USTA added two new L1 Spring Individual to provide
additional opportunities for play and ranking points since many events
have been postponed or cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19
situation. TRN photographer Bill Kallenberg covered the 12s at the
Rome Tennis Center at Berry College.

Peachtree City L2 Photo Gallery
Located just south of Atlanta, the Peachtree Tennis Center has hosted
many USTA National and Southern Section Championships. Last weekend
the club held a USTA Level 2 National 16s tournament. On the boys'
side, Carson Baker of Daniel Island, S.C. won the singles title, while
Conley Raidt of Alpharetta, Ga. took home the girls' title.
