Bradley Frye didn't know it at the time, but his family vacations to California were unofficial recruiting visits.
The Overland Park, Kansas, native loved everything about the state, from the weather to the beach to the mountain scenery.
Frye pictured himself attending college in California and playing tennis for a major Division I program.
The rising senior blue chip took a big step to making his dream a reality by verbally committing to the University of Southern California.
“I felt like when I talked to the coaches and the players on the team, they made it seem like a great fit,” said Frye, who also considered Stanford, UCLA, Virginia and Notre Dame. “I just felt like I clicked well with the coaches there and felt comfortable there. It felt like a great place where I could improve my tennis, improve academically and also improve as a person as well.”
