Davletshina (Lake Worth, Florida), who won her first USTA gold ball, defeated No. 14 Sofia Kedrin (Garden City, New York) 7-5, 6-3 in the finals at the Spencer Love Tennis Center.

“I was focused and I just played my game,” said Davletshina, who moved to the United States from Russia three years ago with her parents and younger sister, Nikol. “I didn’t think about winning. I played to her backhand a lot, and I moved up to the net and seized the point.”
