After she signed up for a Donovan Tennis Showcase event, Anya Kunar (WTN 20.5) scanned the list of colleges scheduled to attend. Colgate was the first one that stood out, so she immediately sent an email to the coaches.

Four-Star Anya Kunar Has Committed to Colgate

“I told them I would be there and I would love for them to watch me play and get to meet them,” Kunar said. “The assistant coach watched one of my matches and came up to me and said they were definitely interested in me and wanted to keep the communication going and be updated with my schedule and see where it goes from there.”

It went the distance.

Kunar, a four-star senior from Easton, Connecticut, recently committed to Colgate, a Division I program located in Hamilton, New York

“They were one of the first colleges that I had on my list when I started my recruiting process, so I think it’s great that it went full circle,” Kunar said. “I am very excited that it ended up being the school I am going to.”
