Michael Seversen (WNT 16.3) has been training with players older than him at Tier 1 Performance in Newport Beach. Nearly all of them will be gone by next fall, either playing in college or on the pro tour.
Seversen figured it made sense for him to explore going to college early. The blue chip junior from Coto De Caza, California has committed to Boise State and will be arriving in January of 2025. He will redshirt his first semester on campus to get acclimated to college.

“I really like that I will have that time to get a head start in the college environment,” Seversen said. “I can spend time training and getting stronger and more fit. They have a nutritionist, so I will be eating better and be able to put on more muscle and get stronger and faster.”
Seversen was considering Clemson, SMU and Arkansas in his college search as well, but ultimately chose to play for the Broncos in Idaho. His close friend, Jett Middleton, is a redshirt junior at Boise State after transferring from Arizona.
