College Station Puts the "Grand" in Summer Slam

As the saying goes - they do everything big in Texas. And running a junior sectional championship is no different. With 878 juniors competing, last week's Texas Summer Grand Slam was the largest junior tournament ever conducted in the state of Texas.

Mitchell Tennis Center
In 2006 the event moved to the Bryan-College Station area from its 20-year home in Wichita Falls. Play was conducted at ten sites during the first three days of competition before bringing all play back to the beautiful, 30-court Texas A&M Mitchell Tennis Center - host to the NCAA Championships in both 2002 and 2005.
