Miller Finds Perfect Fit in Her Own Backyard at Michigan

If the University of Michigan was located in any other city in the country, Karina Miller may not have given her decision a second thought.
But because it was located in her hometown of Ann Arbor, Miller was hesitant about committing too hastily. She wondered if she was showing bias toward the school she’d grown up cheering for. Was she missing out on a chance to spread her wings and leave the state?
Karina Miller Has Committed to Michigan
But Miller eventually realized it was merely a coincidence her best college option happened to be located only a few miles from her house. Michigan checked every box she was looking for in a school and a tennis program.
The blue chip junior verbally committed to Michigan last week.
“Honestly, being so close to home was the only con that I could think of. Everything else I loved about the school,” Miller said. “The more time passed and the more I saw other schools, the more I just knew that I wanted to go to Michigan. I really couldn’t imagine going anywhere else.”
