Recruiting Update
Early Arrivals: Ryann Cutillo to Wake Forest

July marked the official start of recruiting for the Class of 2008. Every year, July 1 is the first day college coaches can start calling recruits, and they can start inviting prospects to campus for official visits once senior year begins. This is usually a time when coaches and players are getting to know one another.

But some of these players are ahead of the game.

A number of highly-regarded seniors are done with recruiting - they have already made verbal commitments to their schools. Over the next two weeks, we will be taking a look at three of these players.

Our first visit is with Blue Chip recruit Ryann Cutillo (Kings Park, NY). Cutillo comes from talent-rich New York, a state that features five of the top 23 girls on our latest Class Rankings List - more than any other state.

Cutillo is having an excellent year in 2006-07, going 57-27 with 31 wins over Blue Chip and 5-Star competition. She posted five wins in last year's Girls 16 Nationals, and she won the El Paso National Open in May.

Cutillo recently made her college decision, committing to Wake Forest University. She chose the Demon Deacons over Virginia, Illinois, and Northwestern. We talked with Cutillo about her decision process.
