With no more than four of its current players returning, the University of Georgia women's tennis team would be excused with a rebuilding year in 2010-2011.
Just don't count on it.
Three seniors may be departing, but in their place will arrive a quartet of blue chip prospects. Following the winter signings of Lilly Kimbell and Kate Fuller - and the recent commitment from Alexandra Anghelescu, head coach Jeff Wallace has inked another Athens-bound athlete in Alina Jerjomina - solidifying the Bulldog's hold on the top recruiting class in the nation.
Jerjomina's commitment came in March after the junior's initial plans to take a year off from school changed.
"I became interested in playing college tennis earlier this year," said Jerjomina, 17. "It wasn't my goal, but it was always an option."
When it came to the pros and cons of going to college, turning pro was never far from Jerjomina's mind.
