NCAA Tournament Roundtable - Part I
May Madness might not be a household term, but the name fits for
college tennis. May is tournament time. This weekend, 64 men's and
women's teams will see first- and second-round action in the NCAA
Division I Tennis Championships. The winners head to the Khan Outdoor
Tennis Complex in Champaign-Urbana, Ill., to compete for the team
title. Today, our college tennis contributors talk about college

University of Illinois Readies for First NCAA Tennis Championship
It seems as if Stanford and Georgia (with a little Tulsa and College
Station) have served as hosts of the NCAA Division I Tennis
Championships over and over during the last decade. That's about to
change as the tournament makes its way to the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign. It's the first time the school is hosting - and
the first time the tournament has been in the Midwest since 1998.

Familiar Faces at JSM Champaign Challenger
Lots of familiar faces returned to the JSM Champaign Challenger at the
University of Illinois' Atkins Tennis Center as the USTA Pro Circuit
event welcomed players that had seen these courts during both college
and junior events.
