Happy Birthday, TennisRecruiting.net!

September 15th. That is a special day on the calendar for the Tennis Recruiting Network. Exactly one year ago today - on September 15, 2005 - the TennisRecruiting.net website opened its virtual doors for business.

One year later, TennisRecruiting.net finds itself an established part of the junior tennis landscape. Nearly four thousand junior players have updated their profiles with photos, bios, and college interests. And hundreds of college coaches have registered for accounts.

We look forward to continuing our mission of helping junior tennis players connect with college coaches - and also to create more of a "buzz" around junior and college tennis.

Milestones

On the 15th of September, let's take a look at fifteen significant milestones from the first year of the Tennis Recruiting Network:

  10. March 15 to April 15, 2006 - TennisRecruiting.net covers the Spring Signing Period - complete with updates on the Top 100 players, rankings of recruiting classes, and even more live commitments than the fall.

  11. June 30, 2006 - Resident recruiting expert Dede Allen publishes her annual Recruiting Calendar - now a staple at the Tennis Recruiting Network.

  12. July 6 and 7, 2006 - TennisRecruiting.net publishes the first-ever media poll ranking college tennis recruiting classes - where experts ranked the Top 25 national men's and women's recruiting classes.

  13. August 3-21, 2006 - TennisRecruiting.net features coverage of Championship Week - where outside authors contribute articles about the USTA National Championships.

  14. August 15, 2006 - TennisRecruiting.net introduces photo galleries to its website, featuring the action photographs of Douglas Wrege and other top photographers.

  15. September 4, 2006 - TennisRecruiting.net closes the book on the Class of 2006 - and begins a new chapter with the incoming Class of 2013.
