TOURNAMENTS
I compete year round in the USTA junior program. My highest ranking in the 16 and under division was sixteenth. I Just entered the 18 and under division and I am ranked 27th in the Pacific Northwest.
Major accomplishments for me in the USTA program was wins against Kyle Fager and Andrew Finkleman, Both players were ranked significantly higher than me at the time. My other recent USTA successes include making the finals in four consecutive tournaments this past Summer (For either the 16's or 18's age group.) In December I was the tournament winner for 16's in the Spokane Winter Classic, and I was a finalist in the 18's division.
In 2015, I was selected to compete in the USTA Zonal competition in Waco, Texas for the Pacific Northwest Region. I consider this an honor as only 12 were chosen. While attending this event I was awarded the USTA Sportsmanship award which is only given out to one male and one female.
HIGH SCHOOL
I am a 3 year varsity starter for Snohomish High School, a 4A school. My freshman year, I played third singles. My record was 14-2. My sophomore year I became the number 1 singles player and I finished the season with a 13-3 record. During the 2015 season, I was undefeated in Wesco 4A play, going 15-0, and defeating 2014 state qualifier Jimmy Hua and 2015 state qualifier Yevgeniy Kolomiyets. I played them both twice. At Wesco Districts I was also undefeated. Once again defeating Jimmy Hua in the finals to secure my spot in the State competition this May 2016.
I was pleased to meet my goal and medal at the State tournament. I finished 7th after some very competitive matches.
At the Snohomish High School awards banquet, I was presented the Top Gun award which is award to the Snohomish High School player with the best record for the season. I have received that award every year since I was a freshman.
