Lauren's academic merits include:

- AP Scholar;
- member of: Beta Club, NSHSS (National Society for High School Scholars), NEHS (National English Honor Society) and Rho Kappa National Honor Society;
- speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese;
- codes in R;
- trades options profitably (self-taught for fun as a side-hobby); and
- strives to pursue quantitative finance.
Lauren will be skipping her senior year of high school to start at Carnegie Mellon University in the Fall of 2019. Lauren intends to major in Statistics and is interested in adding a secondary major in Computational Finance and a minor in Chinese.
